Venture Forward

The concept of Venture Social Work (VSW) emerged from a recognition that traditional macro social work education often leaves students feeling unprepared for the rapidly-changing contemporary realities of the field.

During our graduate program, we heard countless frustrations with the lack of tactical, real-world skills in our curriculum. Many of us felt that, despite having a solid understanding of theory (which are crucial and necessary), we were still missing the strategic tools, practical skills and multidisciplinary insights necessary to navigate the complex social systems we would face in our careers.
